What have we done so far?
We’d like to say that the store is opening next week, but these things take a little bit of time sadly. Thankfully, we’ve gathered together an amazing group of people, all of whom are doing a remarkable job of beginning to get all the necessary pieces in place.
As a result, we’ve been very busy applying for grants, building websites, speaking to the local community, putting together marketing plans, and even making coffee. The coffee isn’t strictly vital to the launch of the co-op, but you trying working as hard as we are without the occasional cup of joe.
Hundreds of people have already signed up to be part of the Bay Ridge Food Co-op, and we’d love you to join them. If you’re on Facebook, you can join our group there, and even see what some of us look like. See, we’re not that scary, are we? And if you’re on Twitter, you can follow us. We also send out a regular newsletter every couple of weeks to let you know what we’ve been up to, and you can sign up to that on this site.
Soon we’ll be launching our all important membership drive, and the more people we can get on board, the better. Why not forward a link to this site to anybody in the area that you think might be interested in high quality food at low prices? Come on, you know you want to.
